Montblanc Writers Box Tribute to Robert Louis Stevenson Limited Edition (SP/BP/PM)

The Writers Edition Tribute to Robert Louis Stevenson Limited Edition (SP/BP/PM) is a celebration of the work and spirit of Robert Louis Stevenson, author of two of the most significant novels in literature. Born in 1850 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Stevenson aspired to two things: freedom and the possibility of immersing himself in another universe. He is the author of essays, travel narratives, and legendary adventure stories populated by memorable characters whose names send shivers down the spines of readers around the world.

The design of the box is inspired by Stevenson’s novel Treasure Island. The writing instrument and the rings of the cone form a whole that evokes a historical extendable telescope. The body made of precious black resin is adorned with engraved crosses, including a wider “X” marking the location of the treasure on the map. Vertical lines remind us of the planks of the ship Hispaniola, while the cap of the Writers Edition writing instruments is embellished with a traditional ship's chest.

The box includes a fountain pen, a rollerball, and a mechanical pencil. Their body made of precious black resin is adorned with engraved crosses, including a wider “X” marking the location of the treasure on the map. Behind the platinum-plated clip shaped like a mooring cleat, to which the rigging of a ship is generally attached, the lines converge to form a compass rose. In tribute to Robert Louis Stevenson’s passion for sailing and his settlement in the South Seas, the 18 K gold nib, rhodium-plated and handcrafted, features an engraving depicting fine waves.
