The Writers Edition Tribute to Robert Louis Stevenson Limited Edition (SP/RB/PM) by Montblanc is a collection of limited edition writing instruments that celebrates the work and spirit of Robert Louis Stevenson. Stevenson, the author of two of the most significant novels in literature, distinguished himself from his contemporaries with his taste for adventure that has made him a part of history.

This collection pays tribute to the unique legacy of Robert Louis Stevenson, essayist, poet, traveler, and emblematic novelist. His works, notably the captivating novel 'Treasure Island' and the thriller 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde', continue to be widely read and constantly adapted for theater and cinema.

The design of this collection is inspired by Stevenson’s story. The writing instrument and the rings of the cone form a whole that evokes an extendable historical telescope. The body made of precious black resin is adorned with engraved crosses, including a larger 'X' marking the treasure's location on the map. Vertical lines recall the planks of the Hispaniola schooner, while the cap of the Writers Edition writing instruments is enhanced with a traditional ship's chest.

The material used for the manufacture of these writing instruments is PMMA - Polymethyl methacrylate, a robust and durable material. The top of the cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem adorned with the pirate skull symbol in its center. The cap ring features Stevenson’s signature engraved along with the publication date of his first work, The Pentland Rising, published in 1886.
