The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Napoleon Bonaparte edition is dedicated to the famous figure whose life marked history. The glory of Napoleon endures today with the speaking architecture of the famous Parisian structures built during his reign. Besides architecture, other forms of art also flourished under his power: painting, sculpture, and decorative arts. The overall design of this edition is inspired by neoclassical style. The golden bees on the dark blue lacquer are inspired by Napoleon's throne located in Fontainebleau, while the sword-shaped clip is adorned with a 'N', the initial of the emperor. The engravings on the top of the cap represent a laurel crown, an imperial crown, and an eagle, directly referring to the insignia of the emperor's coronation. The cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. The end of the clip is adorned with a red stone reminiscent of the coronation ring of his wife, Joséphine. The 18K gold nib handcrafted features a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte with his emblematic bicorne.
