Montblanc Great Characters Edition Andy Warhol Fountain Pen Limited Edition 1928

The Great Characters Edition Andy Warhol pays tribute to one of the main supporters of the Pop Art movement. With his striking works, Andy Warhol broke down the barriers between 'high art' and 'commercial art' and made a splash by transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. The complementary contrast between the precious cobalt blue resin of the cap and the narrow orange rings on the cone and front reflects the color variations of Warhol's Colored Campbell's Soup series from 1965, which are also carefully worked into the stainless steel cap. A dollar sign is finely engraved on the rhodium-plated gold nib of the fountain pen, while the squeegee he used for the silkscreen is captured in the design of the clip. The cap ring of the edition is adorned with an engraving of Warhol's signature.
