Montblanc Rollerball Great Characters Edition Miles Davis

This Great People edition pays tribute to one of the most revolutionary and influential figures in the history of jazz - Miles Dewey Davis. In addition to being an exceptional trumpeter, he was a pioneer at nearly every stage of the evolution of jazz in post-war America, from cool jazz to rock, funk, and jazz fusion. His induction into the Rock 'n Roll Walk of Fame was therefore natural. The shape of the writing elements is inspired by the trumpet, enhanced by the clip buttons, while the blue color of the tip evokes "Kind of Blue," one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. The pattern on the cap and barrel recalls the movements represented by Miles Davis: Jazz Fusion (Mix of forms and techniques), Modal Jazz (Oriental), Hard Bop (African), Cool Jazz (Nonette), and Bebop. The cap ring is engraved with the year "2006," when he was inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Walk of Fame. For its part, the shape of the tip is inspired by the special mouthpiece "Heim" that he used.
