Limited to 1917 pieces in reference to the year of Kennedy's birth, the John F. Kennedy Limited Edition 1917 is inspired by his favorite hobby, boating, with a texture evoking rope on the cap and body, and an engraving of the lifebuoy from his boat, the Victura. Because the Kennedy family was at the center of both the personal and professional life of John F. Kennedy, the writing instrument features three cap rings representing his three brothers, while the ten members of his family are symbolized by as many marks on the pen's attributes. In the middle, his initials, JFK, are engraved on the clip. The cap ring is engraved with the slogan of his campaign, 'A time for greatness'. This edition also evokes his time in the U.S. Navy with a star on the cone, inspired by the official five-pointed badge. Kennedy's project of a trip to the moon is symbolized by the Montblanc emblem made of moonstone that crowns the cap.
