Inspired by the striking beauty of the Sea of Ice, one of the largest glaciers in the Mont Blanc massif, this watch is a tribute to nature and the spirit of exploration. Montblanc has always sought inspiration from nature for its watches, and the Iced Sea is no exception.

The design of the Montblanc Iced Sea is unique. It reflects the changing hues of ice under different lighting and natural conditions. The watch dial mimics the frosty texture of the interlaced crystals of the Sea of Ice. This representation of the depth of a glacier, the natural pattern of its crystals, and the brightness and color of ice on a 44mm thick dial is a technical achievement.

The watch dial has been created using an ancient craftsmanship technique called wood-graining, which involves polishing and lacquering. Montblanc has worked with a long-standing supplier to execute this technique, through a process that is exclusive to Montblanc.
