The Montblanc Muses Maria Callas Special Edition collection is a tribute to one of the most charismatic sopranos of the 20th century, Maria Callas. Known for her iconic style, talent, passion, and personality, she embodied a certain idea of the opera singer. From La Scala in Milan to the Paris Opera, and through the Metropolitan Opera in New York, she was known in the world's greatest operas as 'La Divina', the divine.
The design of this pen highlights the color turquoise, one of Maria Callas's favorites. This color is found in the precious resin of the cap and barrel, echoing the graceful beauty of Maria Callas and her elegantly slender silhouette. In homage to her homeland, Greece, and the sea that surrounds it, the platinum clip is adorned with a stone whose color evokes the beauty of the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea.
The body and cap of the pen are made of precious resin. The platinum cone of the writing instrument is crowned with laurel leaves and embellished with the engraved signature of the famous soprano. This detail is drawn from the costume of one of her most famous bel canto roles, in Bellini's Norma.
The pen has dimensions of 128.6 x 14.7 x 10 mm and weighs 39.6 g.
