Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Watch

The Montblanc Star Legacy collection is inspired by the heritage of Minerva and the pocket watches produced by the manufacture at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph pays tribute to the French watchmaker Nicolas Rieussec, who marked the history of watchmaking by inventing the ink chronograph, patented in 1821.

The timepiece features two rotating disks aligned horizontally on the watch dial, one for the 60-second chronograph counter and the other for the 30-minute counter, which rotate under a double fixed index, just like the original instrument.
Both the counters and the eccentric turns of the hours and minutes are domed to provide a striking three-dimensional effect.
The watch is powered by the famous in-house monopusher chronograph movement Caliber MB R200 with automatic winding and column wheel, which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.
The caliber is equipped with two barrels, which store enough energy to ensure a 72-hour power reserve.
The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph is housed in a 44.8 mm stainless steel case adorned with a blue dial and mounted on a matching blue Sfumato alligator leather strap.
