The Montblanc 1858 collection is a true ode to exploration and adventure. Inspired by the legendary watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for the army and exploration, this collection reflects the spirit of mountain exploration and aligns with the current trend of returning to nature. The 1858 Geosphere Limited Edition 1858 watch is dedicated to the challenge of the seven summits, the holy grail of mountaineers.
The design of the watch is a tribute to nature with its 42 mm polished and satin-finished bronze case and khaki green dial. The contemporary look of this model is enhanced by a high-quality woven Nato strap in khaki that matches the color of the dial.
The watch features a world time complication manufactured by Montblanc watchmakers in Villeret: two domed globes rotating in opposite directions complete a full rotation in 24 hours. The globes are topped with a graduation for the 24 time zones and a day/night indicator in contrasting colors. The different time zones can thus be understood intuitively, with the additional help of SuperLumiNova® applied on the continents to enhance visibility and performance in darkness.
In terms of dimensions, the watch has a diameter of 42 mm, making it both robust and elegant. The polished and satin-finished bronze case adds a touch of luxury and sophistication, while the khaki green dial emphasizes the connection to nature.
