The Montblanc Writers Edition collection pays tribute to the life and work of Robert Louis Stevenson, a prolific Scottish writer known for his legendary adventure novels. Born in 1850 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Stevenson aspired to two things: freedom and the possibility of immersing himself in another universe. His work inspired many details of this edition.
The design of the pen is a true homage to Stevenson’s history. The body of the pen, coated in precious black lacquer, features the famous Hispaniola, the ship from the novel Treasure Island. The cap, coated in signature gold, is adorned with a traditional ship's chest. The dominant color of the pen is black.
The materials used to manufacture this pen are of the highest quality. The body of the pen is coated in precious black lacquer. The top of the cap is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl. The 18 K gold nib, handcrafted, displays an engraving representing clouds and seagulls.
The pen measures 146.7 x 18.4 x 10 mm. It has a physical weight of 106.71 g, making it comfortable to hold and use.
