Founded in 1906, Montblanc has become the leader in the international market for luxury writing instruments. This time, the choice was made for Miles Dewey Davis, the most famous jazz musician of the 20th century, who had a colossal influence on this musical genre.
He was a trumpeter, which is why the artisans at Montblanc wanted to draw inspiration from a trumpet for the shape of the pen, hence the pistons on the clip and the cone that evokes the "Heim" mouthpiece. On the body, Montblanc has engraved the phases of evolution of American jazz that follow Miles Davis. Finally, the artisans have engraved the silhouette of the trumpeter on the nib, and the color of the cone references his album "Kind of Blue." 1926 is his year of birth, and it is also the number of copies of this pen. And on its ring, the numbers 2006 have been engraved: his year of entry into the Rock'N Roll Hall of Fame.
