The precious brown lacquer refers to the pipe frequently smoked by the detective, an element that is also found in the cap and the wooden cone. The cap and body of this edition are decorated with a tartan pattern in reference to the detective's coat and parts of a historical map of the British capital. The clip is inspired by the magnifying glass used by Sherlock Holmes to conduct his investigations. Behind the clip is a silhouette of a dog in photoluminescent pigments, referencing the famous story 'The Hound of the Baskervilles.' The ring of the cap features the signature of Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as the logo of the detective's first case, 'A Study in Scarlet.' The cap of this edition is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in precious wood. On the 18 K gold nib, a portrait of Arthur Conan Doyle and a magnifying glass are engraved, referencing his famous character.
