The Victoria and Albert collection from Montblanc is a celebration of art and love. The Montblanc Patron of Art Edition of 2022 is dedicated to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Limited Edition 888 is a remarkable double edition that includes a design in tribute to Queen Victoria and another in tribute to Prince Consort Albert.
The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Victoria Limited Edition 888 was created in honor of Victoria, particularly on the day of her coronation. The design of the pen is inspired by the collar of her coronation gown as well as her monogram, while the red recalls the color of the gown.
The fountain pen features a body and cap made of translucent red lacquer adorned with a sculpted gold signature Au 750/1000 work. The attributes are platinum. The shape of the clip evokes her scepter, while the green tsavorite represents her engagement ring.
The top of the cap, inspired by the royal crown, is topped with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of-pearl. Like a wedding band, the cap's clip is engraved with the mention "Albert" and the couple's wedding date, while a special engraving decorates the cone.
In homage to Queen Victoria's nickname, "the rose of England," the handcrafted two-tone gold nib Au 750/1000 is engraved with a rose. With the signature gold and/or the signature gold coating, Montblanc describes the light hue of yellow gold that has become a favored color for the House's writing instruments.
The pen has dimensions of 145.3 x 18.5 mm and weighs 102 g.
