The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen collection continues to explore the wildest landscapes on the planet with a series dedicated to the mountaineer and Montblanc marker Reinhold Messner and his achievement of climbing the seven highest peaks of each of the seven continents. This first edition refers to the seventh peak, Mount Vinson. This Geosphere 0 Oxygen edition is limited to 986 pieces (a nod to 1986, the year when Messner made the ascent of Mount Vinson). It features a 43.5 mm titanium case directly inspired by the landscape of Mount Vinson, with a composite case made from quartz fibers, aluminum basalt fibers, CaCO₃, and light blue resin. To further emphasize the theme of adventure, the entirely oxygen-free case is enhanced on the side with a bright gray contour engraved representing Mount Vinson, while a colored 3D laser engraving of this majestic peak adorns the titanium case back. This timepiece is powered by the automatic MB 29.25 movement equipped with the Montblanc manufacture world time complication, which includes rotating globes of the northern and southern hemispheres, a 24-hour scale, day/night indication, a second time zone, and a date. This watch is complemented by an interchangeable blue-green rubber strap, featuring a taper and a fine adjustment system.

Taking care of your watch
Your watch can be compared to a piece of jewelry. Creations that incorporate such a level of craftsmanship require special care to maintain their perfect appearance and performance. Depending on its mechanical characteristics, your watch should be serviced every three to five years.
