The Montblanc Writers Edition Arthur Conan Doyle Limited Edition collection is dedicated to one of the most famous crime novelists and the creator of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes.

Made of 18 K white gold, this fountain pen features a skeletonized design with several layers of translucent lacquer, hand-painted and inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Undershaw house as well as an old map of the streets of London. The clip is shaped like a magnifying glass and displays the logo "ACD". Behind the logo is a removable magnifying glass. In reference to Arthur Conan Doyle's interest in spiritualism, the engraved cap ring can be removed like a sidereal pendulum.

This inspiration is found in the engraving of the cone representing a book that Arthur Conan Doyle wrote on spiritualism. The 18 K gold nib, coated with ruthenium and rhodium, features the face of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as well as a ship's mast drawn from his adventure novel, The Captain of the Polestar.
