While most GMT watches indicate the second time zone with an additional hand, the Montblanc 1858 GMT presents its GMT indication without hands, in an extremely intuitive and readable way. The Montblanc 1858 GMT indicates the second time zone with a red square that moves along the outer edge of the dial. The red square is positioned next to a fixed anodized blue aluminum bezel enhanced with a 24-hour clock. This system also indicates half-hours. Other functions include the date and central seconds. The watch, housed in a 42 mm stainless steel case, is equipped with a sunburst black dial and a tapered interchangeable stainless steel bracelet featuring a precise adjustment system. The engraving on the back represents the continents, oceans, and city names located in each of the 24 time zones, providing an indication of universal hours.
